Recommended for construction in seismic zones, the EN 1090-1 CE marked NPS® Sismi PDTI® Column is already seismic-resistant during the building construction.
It is equipped with an anti-seismic device pre-installed at the plant to ensure seismic resistance from the construction phase. Since it has a ductility reserve greater than reinforced concrete systems, it absorbs seismic action better, reducing stress on the structure above.
It offers high load-bearing capacities while maintaining compact cross-sections. It offers integrated fire resistance without the need for additional work on site. The PDTI® NPS® Column is suitable for multi-storey buildings such as hospitals, hotels, shopping centres, residential buildings as well as infrastructure.
After the placement, it is filled with concrete on site. It can be supplied in a multi-storey version, also with a different cross-section for each inter-storey. By installing a three-storey PDTI® NPS® column, the vertical element for the upper two storeys is already in place - a considerable time saver.
In new buildings, earthquake-resistant steel structures with Sismi PDTI® NPS® columns improve the response to horizontal seismic actions.
They are particularly suitable in municipalities with a high seismic risk and in buildings with structural irregularities, both in plan and in elevation.
Sismi PDTI® columns’ parametric objects for Revit and Tekla are a tool to speed up design and make the engineer's job easier.
DOWNLOAD OBJECT FOR REVITPDTI® NPS® Columns take advantage of the structural efficiency of combining steel and concrete. This results in compact sections with a reduced use of raw materials and optimization of living space.
Tecnostrutture adopts a logistics strategy that respects the environment. We prefer green fuel road transport or the intermodal solution with longer stretches by rail.
As shown by the analysis of the product life cycle (LCA), transport to the construction site affects 2-3% of the total life cycle. Therefore, in addition to offering solutions that have little impact on logistics, Tecnostrutture’s commitment focuses above all in the raw material supply and end-of-life management phases, those that weigh most heavily on the environmental impact of the entire product life cycle.
